After ploughing through 1.8km of mud, sand and hills on one of the country's best motocross
circuits, you will then head off for a 6.4km circuit through local woodland before returning for
a final circuit of the track - all in all 10kms of mud and hills!
And why would anyone want to put themselves through such a challenge? Well to test yourself
against the toughest terrain South-East England has to offer for starters, and if that is not enough,
you will be competing to raise funds for the Sabre Trust's kindergarten programme in Ghana.
Having completed the prototype school in Dwabor, Sabre is now preparing to build its second
school in the community of Ayensudo. This programme is not just about building schools, but Sabre
is also working with the local education authorities and NGO partners Teachers Beyond Borders and
Tomorrow's Stars to develop the capacity of teachers and provide learning materials to equip the new
schools.
Sabre's own Development Director Dominic has already signed up to take on the Beast in the East,
and by doing so he hopes to encourage others to join him on Team Sabre.
Follow this link to sign up today. Download your event poster here.
If you aren't able to join us on the day, please do consider sponsoring Dominic's entry by donating
to his Virgin Money Giving page.
Training updates and muddy photos to follow...!
