Volunteering with the Sabre Charitable Trust

As part of our committment to ensure our aims and objectives are fulfilled in the communities and projects we work with, we have developed a detailed and well structured volunteer programme.

All the projects we are involved in are part of a greater development plan. In all cases we work with local partners, either Regional and District government offices, community groups or registered charities. The work you will do focuses on a greater development goal of sustainability.

We provide a solid framework of placement management to ensure you and the local partners benefit as much as possible from your time in country. This will include pre-departure preparation, in-country training/induction, ongoing support and back up from both our local and UK based staff.

Testimonials from previous volunteers

“The bus run was the experience of a lifetime, seeing places and meeting all kinds of people that I will never forget.  The challenges we faced and got ourselves out of were probably what made the trip so memorable and so fun!  However it was the six weeks at the end living in the Brenu community and teaching in the kindergarten which changed the direction of my life and made me appreciate just how excellent the world we live in is.”
Robyn, Australia

“I’d just like to say thank-you! We had a fantastic time and are already really missing Ghana! Esther was lovely, and really made our stay special. I really hope I can return some time to see the school building progress and children! Thanks again.”
Helen, Manchester
