Drivers for expedition to Ghana
18 Feb 2008
The Sabre Charitable Trust is looking for a team of drivers to transport several vehicles to Ghana at the end of March 2008. We are looking for adventurous minded people willing to drive in a convoy of 2/3 vehicles which we will provide. We regret that we can’t allocate the funds to cover your costs en route, i.e. food, accommodation, diesel, visas, inoculations, insurances etc. We have a full list of what we are taking and how much we anticipate the journey will cost us driving in one of the vehicles. We plan to make this a really quick drive down (2 weeks) crossing the Sahara desert through Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and then entering Burkina Faso and into Ghana.
The Charity needs the vehicles to manage several ongoing construction and education projects. The projects are based near and on the tropical coastline and you are more than welcome to stay in Ghana and work on the latest construction project; an Eco-friendly accommodation centre for international and local volunteers. We envisage this project taking three months to complete, although you can stay for as long as you are willing to work! We will cover food and basic accommodation costs whilst you work on the project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take part in something fun, unique and worthwhile, please contact us directly for more information.
Please feel free to simply pass this on to anyone you think may be interested! Looking forward to hearing from you.
