The expeditions are organised with schools in the UK and schools in Africa. The length of the expeditions will depend on the time available but are typically two, three or four weeks in the summer holidays or two weeks during Easter and Christmas holidays. We believe:
- in sustainable project involvement and being able to help where help is required;
- that young adults have so much to gain and give from visiting the developing world.

| All projects are community driven; some are on-going projects but most are new projects that cannot be completed without external support. Each expedition aims to complete projects choosen by the UK schools which are selected through a database of projects shown on the Support Our Projects pages of this website. |

Our expeditions focus on volunteer work with sustainable and appropriate development projects some of which we fund and support driectly. Every expedition volunteer not only supports these projects through their active participation on the ground but also financially through the expedition fee. Each expedition will take several months of planning and preparation. This is done by us and the expedition team.
Everyone involved with the organisation of these expeditions has a wealth of African experience and knowledge and the communities who drive these projects are passionate about developing themselves. |
