Safety on Expedition
| These expeditions are challenging and rewarding opportunities in the developing world where terrain, culture and infrastructure are different to what we experience in the UK. As such throughout the planning stages in the UK expedition volunteers will receive guidance on these differences that will be experienced. Although we base our expeditions around community/environment projects we are not an aid or emergency relief organisation therefore we do not work in areas where security is a major problem. |

| Having said that we do have a pro-active approach to expedition safety, careful planning and extensive local knowledge go a long way towards preventing accidents and illness. However,we are realistic in our approach and realise that it is impossible to prevent accidents, so there are a great many steps in place to manage this effectively. |
| |
| All expeditions are planned and researched many months before departure, the FCO Travel Advice is adhered to and we work very closely with the British High Commission in country. We work closely with a variety of partner organisations that ensure these expeditions are well planned, safe and enjoyable.
