Community & Environment Projects
| The nature of projects can be all encompassing. They can involve working in a classroom to building a health centre or working with wildlife and endangered species. The expedition volunteers will live within the community itself and see for themselves the reality of what they learnt during the planning and preparation stages back in the UK. Community life is very different, but the people are so welcoming and will always have a special place in your memory. |

| Essentially what makes these projects unique is that they are driven by local community members, the elders or conservation organisations. These key people have determined to find a solution to problems that face their community or environment. As these people and communities are known to us already, we have seen their desire and passion to realise what for some has been many years of planning. |

Sometimes the most significant help that can be given is to complete an ongoing project that has been managed and funded by the community themselves over the last few years. Despite the pressure of wanting to develop and better the community as a whole, money is hard to come by. This results in growing frustration at not being able to realise the dream, so assisting at this point is almost more important than supporting a new project.
All projects can be seen on the Support Our Projects pages of this website. |
