What you can do to help
|
|
Sabre Charitable Trust can only fund all its development projects with your help. As a small charity working with
rural communities a small amount of money goes a long way. If your school would like to adopt us as your annual
charity, or a year group, or even one class doing something for us, the difference would be felt in Ghana.
You are helping your Ghanaian peers, from nursery upto secondary school, achieve the same hopes, aspirations and
goals that you have. The difference is, a pencil is a luxury item in Ghana, and many children's parents cannot
afford to buy one for their child. But, with your help, even if it is small, your money can make a big difference
to school children. We can equip them with pens, pencils, school books and uniforms to make going to school an
enjoyable experience – instead of the dread some pupils feel because they don't own the basics. On a larger
scale we can build classrooms, school buildings and support teacher training to improve teaching and learning
environments to help raise the standard of some educational aspects that we can effectively sustain over
long periods of time.
A few ideas that you could consider to fund raise on our behalf would be to hold a school mufti day, have an Easter
Bazaar with face painting, run a school disco, have a Sunday car wash, sell homemade cakes and biscuits, a sponsored
spelling bee, silence or walk. |
